Obituary of John Snyder

John P. Snyder Age 72. At rest Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at home with his family by his side. Born in Chicago, he was an area resident for the past 40 years. A U.S. Navy veteran stationed in Hawaii. Retired from Teamsters Union Local #710. A former bus driver for Plainfield School District and was currently a bus driver for Troy School District. John was an avid fisherman and bowler. Beloved husband of Darlene of Plainfield; loving father of Dusty (Dale) Wind of Sheridan, IL and John (Kim) Snyder of Plainfield; his son-in-law, Richard Cain; devoted Papa of Todd, Danny, Dawn, Tim and Quinton; and Jacob, Jordan, Darcy, Matthew, and Brett; one great-grandson, Alex; dear brother of Gary Snyder of Rockford, and Carol Mazza of Bolingbrook; several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by two daughters, Melody Cain and Casey Snyder; his mother, Marion; and one sister, Gail Wornkey. A Memorial Service for John P. Snyder will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to be used according to the wishes of the family would be appreciated.
