Obituary of Clara Sowa

Sowa, Clara C. (nee Chermack) "Toots" Age 83. Peacefully, Monday, May 2, 2011 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet area resident. Former member of the CCW and parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church, where she was chosen Woman of the Year 1988. Preceded by her husband John J. Sowa, April 19, 2011; her parents John and Clara (nee Palko) Chermack; one sister, Ann Waldvogel; three brothers, Daniel, Edward and John Chermack. Survived by her two daughters, Patricia (John) Kella and Sharon (George) Keenon; two grandchildren Holly and Kyle Keenon; one sister, Marge (late John) Babinec; one sister-in-law, Yvonne Chermack; nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services for Clara Sowa will be Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Jude Catholic Church for a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
