Roberta M. Spisak

Age 88, of Joliet, passed peacefully Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Provena Villa Franciscan Nursing Home. Born in Joliet on April 15, 1922, she was a lifetime resident. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary. She was formerly employed at F.W. Woolworth. She enjoyed bingo, Elvis music, the outdoors, especially watching butterflies, and was an avid collector of anything with butterflies.
Loving mother of Linda (Bill) Barra, Tim (Debora) Spisak, and Bob Spisak; grandmother of Debbie Spisak, Jeff (Nancy) Spisak, Scott Spisak, Michelle (Chris) Charley, Heather Spisak (Josh), Timmy Spisak, and Robert Spisak; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, George; son, Ronald; grandson, Joey; parents, Leo Brown and Clara Riley; stepfather, Frank Riley; and two brothers, William and Robert Brown.
Funeral Services for Roberta M. Spisak will be Friday, January 14, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Holy Family Catholic Church, Shorewood for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Holy Family Catholic Church would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday, 4-8 p.m. at:
