Obituary of Samuel Stanford

Samuel R. Stanford "Sam" Age 76. Passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009 at his late residence. Born in Great Village, Nova Scotia, Canada to the late Harold and Marjorie (nee Stailing) Stanford, he was a resident of Joliet for the past 14 years. A retired teacher, he taught high school and college calculus and physics for many years. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Survived by his loving wife, Sandra (nee Carlson) Stanford; seven children, Bobbie (David) Ross, Fred (Leslie) Stanford, Andrew (Jan) Stanford, Sam (Angie) Bachmann, Cathy (Mike) Biliskov, Donna (Eric) Meyer and Tracey (Jesse) Rosas; 17 grandchildren; and one brother, George (Janet) Stanford. Funeral Services for Samuel R. Stanford will be Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private.
