Obituary of Frank Blaskey
Blaskey, Frank T.
Age 77, of Channahon, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center.
Frank served proudly in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958. He retired from Osco Drug as store manager after 38 years of service. Active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale where he was an usher and member of the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Channahon Lions Club, Channahon Festival Committee, and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
He was the beloved father of David (Linda Baaske) Blaskey, Steve (Jacquelyn) Blaskey, Greg (Angela) Blaskey, Sarah (Bill) Kapp, Rosann Blaskey, and Tom (Misty) Blaskey; and loving Poppy of Laura, Rebecca, Jordan, Stephanie, Ryan, Adam, Joe, Holly, Jared, Chase, Colton and Zachary. Also survived by two sisters, Jan (Bob) Pope, and Shirley (Dennis) Myers; three brothers, Ray (Barb) Blaskey, John (late Penne) Blaskey, and Lawrence Blaskey; sister-in-law, Cathy Blaskey; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (nee Stanick) Blaskey (Dec. 18, 2002); parents, Frank and Katherine (nee Mikula) Blaskey; one brother, Eugene Blaskey; and two sisters, Helen Sartori, and Lillian Blaskey.
Funeral Services for Frank T. Blaskey will be Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rockdale for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Private interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Memorials in his name to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Visitation Monday, 2-8 p.m. with Holy Name Society Service at 2:30 p.m. at:
