Obituary of Virgil Steinquist

Virgil A. Steinquist Age 68. Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet to the late Arthur and Laura (Geske) Steinquist, he was a lifelong resident. A U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Member of the Teamsters Union Local #179 and the IFRM Union (Troy School District). Retired from Rainbow Baking Co. in 2000 following 33 years of service. An avid golfer and race car fan. Survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Penny (Nichols) Steinquist of Joliet; two sons, Willis and Mitchell Steinquist both of Joliet; one daughter, Lisa Davis of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, Bricen, Tyler and Dillon; one sister, Velda Doyle and one brother, Wayne (Jeanine) Steinquist both of Joliet; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Sharon Benge and Carol Carey; two brothers, Ronald and LaVerne Steinquist. Funeral Services for Virgil A. Steinquist will be Thursday, December 17, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at: FRED C.
