Obituary of William Storey

Storey, William J. "Jim" Age 79, of Diamond and formerly of Worth, IL passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Coloma, MI on January 19, 1932, to the late Lynwood and Edna (nee Halvorson) Storey, he was raised in Chicago and graduated from Blue Island High School. He attended Washburn Trade School. Retired carpenter from Local #62 (45 years). Member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Morris Lodge. He was an avid golfer, who enjoyed boating and was a true craftsman building his own boat. Survived by his wife of 43 years, Harriet (nee Budzynski); three sons, Mark (fiancee Tiffany Votta) Storey, Tim (Danyell) Storey and Jimmy Rodgers; six grandchildren, Meghan, Alex, Amber, Alyssa, Alexis and Nick; dear brother of the late Fred (Linda) Storey; fond uncle of Jason Storey. All friends and relatives are invited to meet at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 11:45 a.m. at the end of Hoff Road (near check-in center) for committal and military honors at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Arrangements by: FRED C.
