Strysik, Scott J.
Age 55. Passed away suddenly Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Graduate of Plainfield High School Class of 1974. Employed by the Diocese of Joliet for the past 31 years at the St. Charles Pastoral Center in Romeoville. Scott was an avid gardener, who loved animals and nature. His hobbies included cooking, photography, and travel.
Preceded in death by his father, Jacob Strysik; grandparents, John and Mary (nee Smolich) Strysik; George and Agnes (nee Furto) Beno; father-in-law, Ray "Gumbie" Pesavento.
Beloved husband and best friend of 31 years to Linda (nee Pesavento); devoted father of Adam Strysik and Laura Strysik; cherished son of Betty (nee Beno) Strysik; fond brother of Donna (Dave) Vieceli, Wendy (Brad) Dent, and Bonnie (Tim) Scott; dear son-in-law of Eleanor Pesavento; fond brother-in-law of Debby (Roy) Mitchell and Patty (Brian) Kulesza. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and his faithful pet, Emma.
Funeral Services for Scott J. Strysik will be Monday, January 9, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Catholic Charities or the American Heart Association would be appreciated. Visitation today, Sunday, 2-7 p.m. at:
