Obituary of Norma Tharp

Tharp, Norma J. (nee Clark) Age 69. Passed away peacefully on her birthday, Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, surrounded by her loving family. Survived by her loving husband of 51 years, James D. Tharp. Also surviving are her three beloved children, Diane (David) Palmer , Paul (Deena) Tharp and Elaine (Chris) Ballantyne; seven loving grandchildren, Tim (Maureen) Cole, Ashley Palmer, Monica Palmer, McKaylyn Palmer, James R. Tharp, Eric (Qristy) Tharp, and Samantha Tharp; two loving step-grandchildren, Taylor Vicic and Matthew Vicic; two great-grandchildren, Noha Tharp and Hailey Vicic; her mother, June Rebinskas; sister, Carol Gash of Florida and her best friend of over 40 years, Nancy McCauley. Previously employed by Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in the Labor & Delivery Unit, and was also employed by Dr. Al-Khudari for over 19 years before retiring in 2005. A special thank you to Linda and all of the caring and compassionate people at Hospice, who helped care for my wife, our mother and our grandmother. Funeral Services for Norma Tharp will be Friday, March 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
