Obituary of Leroy Block

Leroy G. Block Age 70. Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Silver Cross Hospital. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet area resident. Attended Joliet Township High School and St. John's Catholic Grade School. Retired after over 40 years of service from Universal Lockport. An avid collector of personal treasures. Preceded by his parents, Elmer and Angela (nee Wilhelmi) Block; and two brothers, Elmer "Bill" Block and Bernard "Bernie" Block. Survived by two sisters, Dorothy Smith and Marian (Gabriel) Soto; and two sisters-in-law, Ethel "Tootie" Block and Donna Block all of Joliet. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, one great-great-niece, and many cousins also survive. Funeral services for Leroy G. Block will be Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home chapel. Fr. Richard Ross, officiating. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. at: FRED C.
