Lester E. Tullett
Age 89, passed away at home May 13, 2010. Born May 9, 1921 in Flora, IL, to Homer and Edna Tullett.
Les is survived by three children, Vicki (late Jack) Newkirk of Greenwood, IN, Ann (John) Hoffmeyer of Coal City, IL, and Tom Tullett of Grass Lake, MI; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. He also leaves behind a very special and wonderful caregiver, Judy.
Les was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean; son, Ken; son-in-law, Jack; brother, Jim; sister, Helen; and both of his parents.
Les worked for Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 46 years retiring in 1986. He also served in the U.S. Army during WW II and during that time was stationed in the Philippines. Les loved life and fought through many health issues to hold on to that life. He was a man who was known for his sense of humor and making people laugh and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Services for Lester E. Tullett will be Monday, May 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Sunday 1-5 p.m. at:
