Ron H. Bogart
"Bud"
Age 78. Peacefully Saturday, January 23, 2010 at his late residence with his family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer. A U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran. Born in Ashland, WI a longtime Joliet area resident, relocated to the Lisbon area in 1976. Retired from Central Limestone as a euclid truck driver. Formerly an Over Road Truck Driver member of the Teamsters local 701 and 179. Ron enjoyed his retirement and enjoyed traveling the country. Ron made it a point to visit every front door of the establishment that he made deliveries to the back door during his lifetime.
Preceded by his parents and one sister, Doris Bogart and one stepson, Peter L. Pope. One grandson in infancy, Phillip Al Pope.
Survived by his loving wife, Phyllis M. Pope-Bogart of Newark, IL. Two sons, Ronald Bogart of Joliet and Michael (Jan) Bogart of Morris, IL; one daughter, Nancy(James) Clark of Streator; two stepsons, Patrick (Patty) Pope and Paul (Rita) Pope both of Lisbon; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Dorothy (Robert) Fick and Kathy Bogart both of Ashland, WI. His sister in-law Mary Jane (Russell) Pinegar of Des Moines, IA and one brother in-law Robert (Barb) Brachle of Channahon, IL. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services for Ron H. Bogart will be Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Joe Newton officiating. Interment Lisbon Cemetery. Visitation TODAY, TUESDAY 4-8 p.m. at:
