Obituary of Emily Adams

Emily J. Adams (nee Shepich) "Bella" Age 90, late of Joliet, passed away on her birthday, Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet to the late Peter and Johanna (nee Gladd) Shepich, she was a longtime resident. Member of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church. Loving mother of Mary M. (P. David) Stacel of Joliet, Madeline J. Adams of Florida, Sandra K. (David) Watts of Joliet and Donald L. Adams; grandmother of Sean (AnnMarie) Leary, Tara (Cal) Waldvogel, Craig Leary, Heather Leary, Angel Whitfield and Nick (Jen) Whitfield; three great-grandchildren, Gibson and Colton Waldvogel; and Jackson Leary. Two step great-grandchildren, Devin and Delanie Keto. Numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Gerry Troppe, also survive. Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John "Jack" Adams; her parents; three sisters and five brothers. Funeral Services for Emily J. Adams will be Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
