Obituary of Sharon Voigts

Voigts, Sharon L. (nee East) January 9, 1936 - July 19, 2011 Went to be with her Lord peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Deerbrook Care Centre. Preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Priscilla East of Streator. Beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Sharon was born in Streator and lived most of her life in Joliet raising a family, before returning to college to get her degree in Accounting and getting her CPA certificate. Beloved sister to Robert (Alberta) East of Streator, and Carol East of Bloomington, IL; beloved mother of Sharla (Rob) Chadwick of Sterling, VA, Craig (Terri) Voigts of Joliet, Leslee (late Ed) Flanigan of Joliet, and Mark Voigts of Mt. Prospect; beloved grandmother of Rachel, Caileigh, Lauren, Meagan, Erin, Eddie, Katie, Liam, Brittany, Tiffany and Brandon; great-grandmother to Addison Grace. Funeral Services for Sharon L. Voigts will be Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Private interment St. Anthony Cemetery in Streator. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Deerbrook Care Centre Alzheimer's Unit, Joliet or the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
