Vota, Joseph Anthony
Age 71. At rest Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora with his loving family by his side. Born in Carlinville, IL to the late Dominic and Anne (nee Viviani) Vota of South Wilmington, where Joe was raised, residing in Joliet since 1958. Graduate of Gardner/South Wilmington High School Class of 1957. Retired from Bert Adams Pontiac as Finance Manager in 2006, following 45 years of service. Member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. An avid fisherman and one of the biggest Chicago Bears fan south of Soldier Field, who never missed a single game during his lifetime.
Surviving are his loving wife of 42 years, Beverly (nee Adams) Vota of Joliet; devoted father of Julaine of Plainfield and Joseph John of Morris; beloved Papa of Breanna and Brittany; his in-laws, Bert and Theresa (nee Kump) Adams of Joliet; sister-in-law, Arlene Vota of Joliet; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Delphine Enrietta and his brother, Dominic J. Vota.
Funeral Services for Joe will be Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Enshrinement Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation Monday 4-8 p.m. at:
