Obituary of Paul Wagner
Wagner, Paul M.
Age 90, late of Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, passed away peacefully, Sunday, November 18, 2012. Born in Chicago, IL January 18, 1922 to the late Emma (Behm) and Mathias Wagner, he was a long time Des Plaines, IL resident until moving to Morris in February of 2012. Paul, a U.S. Army Veteran who served during WWII, retired from Industrial Molded Products as a tool and die maker after many years of service. Hobbies included bowling, playing cards, and dominoes. He and his wife, Mae also enjoyed socializing with their friends and neighbors, always looking forward to the frequent get-togethers. Another interest, which could be described as a passion of Paul's, was spending the summer season at Leech Lake in Northern Minnesota, where many fond family memories have been made.
Survivors include his son, Paul A. (L. Joyce) Wagner of Morris; grandchildren, Matthew Robert (Dawn Marie) Wagner of Normal, IL, Aaron Michael (Kimberly Ann) Wagner of Normal, IL, Cheryl Jaska of TX, Lisa Ryan of FL; great-grandchildren; Taylor and Jordan Wagner, Reed, Brooke, and Paige Wagner; Amanda Jaska, Robert Wagner, Tiffany Berns, Ashley & Kimberly Kratzy; one sister, Evelyn Link of McHenry, IL; one sister in-law, Jean Lovgen of Coral Gables, FL, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife Mae Margaret (nee Erickson) (2001); his son, Jimmy Roy Wagner (2008); and his parents.
Funeral services for Paul M. Wagner will be Friday November 23, 2012 at the funeral home chapel at 4 p.m. Rev. Jim McGuire officiating. Interment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights,IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Cancer Society or charity of donors choice.
