Obituary of Sophia Wallseck

Wallseck, Sophia M. (nee Bell) Age 83. Peacefully, Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at her late residence. Born in Morristown, NJ, living in Chicago until coming to Joliet in 1973. Formerly employed as a waitress for Baba's Resturant in Shorewood for many years. Member of the Church of St. Jude. She was an Avid Star Trek fan. Sophia, a very strong and resourceful woman was dedicated to her family. Survived by her children, Carole Buckner, Charles (Brenda) Slaybough and Helen (Dan) Kleinhoffer; nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Bernard C. Wallseck (2005); two sons, Larry and William Lukens; parents, Gilbert and Sophia (nee Smith) Bell; two brothers, Art and Gilbert Bell. Funeral Services for Sophia M. Wallseck will be Monday, January 31, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Church of St. Jude for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
