Obituary of Otto Wassmer
Otto W. Wassmer
Age 88, of Joliet, passed away at home on Monday, May 10, 2010. He was born in New York to the late Henry and Anna (nee Berman) Wassmer, and had resided in Joliet for many years until retiring to Venice, FL in the late 1980's. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII. He retired from EJ&E Railroad after many years of dedicated service. Member of the IBEW, and a former Shriner. He enjoyed walking and swimming, and watching a few of his favorite tv shows.
Survived by his sisters, Ethel (late Lester) Frickey and Delores (late Ray) Valentino; fond uncle of several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy; parents; two brothers, James and Eugene Wassmer; and three sisters, Blanche, Shirley and Bertha.
Private funeral services were held with entombment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements by:
