Obituary of Kathleen Weiss

Kathleen J. Weiss (nee Erickson) "Weese" Age 73. Peacefully, May 14, 2012 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born June 27, 1938 in Morris to the late Spencer and Thelma Erickson, residing in Missouri and Texas before moving back to Morris in 2004. Attended grade school at Morey and graduated from Morris Community High School Class of 1956. Her interests were interior design and decorating, and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Preceded by her parents, Spencer and Thelma (nee Kaldheim) Erickson; two great-granddaughters, Payton and Kayden; one stepdaughter, Linda Weiss Isreal. Survived by her husband of 32 years, Don Weiss of Morris; two sons, Rob (Kay) Scamen of Wilmington and Scott Scamen of Morris; one daughter, Rene Layman of Morris; five stepchildren; one brother, Sherwood (Becky) Erickson; six grandchildren, Blake Bermel of Austin, TX, Casey Scamen of Coal City, Spencer Scamen of Kauii, Hawaii, Lindsey (Zac) Kramer of Plano, TX, Whitney (Patrick) Bohac of Dallas, TX and Scotty Scamen of Morris; two great-grandchildren, Atley and Knox Kramer; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Tiger. Funeral Services for Kathleen J. Weiss will be 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in West Lisbon Cemetery.
