Obituary of Dorothy Werner

Dorothy A. Werner (nee Kiefel) At rest Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home. Born and raised in Peru, IL, she was a resident of Joliet for the past 55 years. Member of Faith Lutheran Church, and a lifetime member of the Women of the Moose. Surviving are two sons, Richard Werner of Joliet and Donald (Connie) Werner of Plainfield; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Walter (Janice) Kiefel of Aurora; one sister, Mary Grafton of Peru; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, C. "Bud" Werner; parents, Frederick and Agnes Kiefel; one brother, Robert Kiefel; and two sisters, Erna Brucki and Louise Piano. Graveside Services for Dorothea A. Werner will be Monday, November 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Peru City Cemetery in Peru, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Faith Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
