Age 83. Passed away Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Pontiac, IL and a lifetime area resident.
Survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Edwin C. Whiteman; beloved mother of Sandra (late Andrew, Sr.) Roechner of Channahon, Edwin (Karen) Whiteman, Jr. of Cape Coral, FL, Donald (Doris) Whiteman of O'Fallon, IL and Daniel (Koni) Whiteman of Shorewood; loving grandmother of Dr. Andrew (Elizabeth) Roechner, Jr., Andrea (Andrew) Carey, Audra (Richard) Crowther, Alan (Nancy) Roechner, Amy (Anthony) Pesavento, Adrianne (Otto) Toke; Kelly (Scott) Eisenbeis, Jennifer (Lee) Fields, Sean (Candy) Connery, Kerrigan (Jim) Neal, Capt. Edwin (Leah) Whiteman U.S.M.C.,and Nicole (Michael) Wood; Karie (Dan) Nelson, Hollie Whiteman and Brock Whiteman; 34 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Della Mae (Owen) Weakley and Mary Loretta (Frank) Shutty; sister-in-law, Phyllis Homer; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Loretta (nee Stewart) Homer; son-in-law, Andrew Roechner, Sr.; and one brother, Jacob Homer, Jr.
Funeral Services for Marjorie E. Whiteman will be Friday, December 7, 2007 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice Home would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday 2-8 p.m. at:
