Bobby Wilson
Age 79, late of Tower Hill, IL passed away Monday, March 24, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur. Born April 4, 1928 in Baxter Springs, KS to the late Claude C. and Geneva L. (nee Catron) Wilson, he was a long time Joliet/Channahon area resident, moving to Tower Hill in 1992. He was a union carpenter, retiring in 1989. Member of New Hope Baptist Church in Pana, IL; member and honorary member of the Carpenters Union Local #174, member of Fox & Coon Hunters Association and a life member of the NRA. Bobby loved the outdoors, nature, fishing, hunting and was an avid coon hunter.
Bobby was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Clara L. (nee Helms) Wilson of Tower Hill; one daughter, Marrilyn A. (Billy W.) Ellis of Metropolis, IL; one grandson, Jacky Lee (Melissa) Peavler of Shelbyville, IL; and one great-grandson, Ryne Lee Peavler.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services for Bobby Wilson will be Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bob Hahn officiating. Entombment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials in his name to the American Lung Association would be appreciated. Visitation Friday 5-7 p.m. at:
