Obituary of David Wilson
David Cheatham Wilson
Age 52, Monday June 8, 2009, passed away at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, IL. Born June, 7, 1957, in Chicago. He grew up in Joliet and lived in Joliet, Morris and Aurora. Worked and retired from Commonwealth Edison Collins Power Plant. He was a volunteer Fireman with the plant fire department. David was an avid antique collector and owned several antique businesses. David was an excellent photographer, photographing NASCAR and Midget Auto races, weather events and his children and grandchildren. With his collection of firefighting memorabilia, books and photographs, David was a true fire buff. He also collected railroad memorabilia and photographs. David was a trained weather spotter and did community work by observing severe weather.
Preceded in death by his father, Dr. William H. Wilson; his mother, Jennie Lenora Wilson (nee Cheatham); his aunt, Vivienne Cheatham Jorgenson; his wife, Margaret Wilson (nee Seidleman).
Survived by his brother, William H. Wilson of Woodridge, IL; his children, Dyana Wilson-Robinson and Dena Wilson, both of Aurora, IL; his grandchildren, William T. Robinson, Deja Wilson-Feemster, Ciera Robinson, and Aariyah Robinson, all of Aurora; three stepchildren, Steven Norman Jr., Samantha Keen, and Sarah Norman, all of Aurora; four step-grandchildren, Steven Norman III, Gage Miller, Maggie Keen, and Miles Keen of Aurora; his former wife, Susan D. Barrientos of Jonesboro, AR.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2009 at St. Edward and Christ Episcopal Church, 206 N. Midland Ave., Joliet, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to donor's favorite charity would be appreciated. Arrangements by:
