Obituary of David Witty

David G. Witty Age 62. Passed away Monday, March 10, 2008 at Adventist Bolingbrook Medical Center. Born August 25, 1945 in Joliet, he was raised in Romeoville, and was a resident of Crest Hill for 33 years. Graduate of Lockport Township High School. He was employed by WJN Enterprises in Tinley Park. Former Suburban Teamster of Northern Illinois, Ward 4 Alderman for the City of Crest Hill and a board member of Des Plaines Valley Public Library. Survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Collins of Ashburn, VA; grandchildren, Ella and Jack Collins; stepson, Jeff (Jill) Girard of Lockport; and brother, Earl (Renee) Witty of Pennsylvania. Preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Nina (nee Davis) Witty; and one sister, Joyce Lancaster of Downers Grove. Dave will always be remembered by his close neighbors and many friends for his generous spirit and sense of humor. Funeral Services for David G. Witty will be Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Gavin Brandt officiating.
