Obituary of Kathleen Worden

Kathleen A. Worden (nee Keca) Age 57. At rest Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago, with family and friends at her side following a valiant battle with multiple myeloma. Born in Joliet to Daniel and Margaret (nee Gabrys) Keca, she was raised in Chatsworth, IL, returning to Joliet as a teenager. Graduate of St. Francis Academy Class of 1970. A devoted wife, mother and Nana, who had a passion for all children. Surviving are her loving husband of 38 years, Mark W. Worden of Joliet; three children, Jason C. (Jennifer) Worden of Bourbonnais, Joel P. Worden of Orland Park, and Jodie L. (Matthew Sr.) Luke of Joliet; five grandchildren, Jared, Jonah and Joshua Worden; Matthew Jr. and Madeline Luke; her parents; two brothers, Daniel (Barbara) Keca Jr. of Dyer, IN and Richard (Mary Jo) Keca of Joliet; dear niece of Robert and Cecilia Seeley of Joliet; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends including Cheryl, Betty and Pam. Preceded in death by her in-laws, Frank and Wanda Worden; goddaughter, Kerry Ann Keca. A Memorial Mass for Kathleen A. Worden will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Jude, 2212 McDonough Street, Joliet. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Family will receive all friends and relatives on Thursday from 4-9 p.m. at: FRED C.
