Obituary of John Wortmann

John J. Wortmann Age 81. Passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. He was the owner of Wortmann Excavating for over 50 years. Member of Local #150 Operating Engineers, and a life member of the Joliet Moose Lodge #300 since 1957. Surviving are his beloved wife of 55 years, Betty Lou (nee Resler) Wortmann of Rockdale; four sons, Walter John Wortmann of Joliet, Thomas Leo (Peggy) Wortmann of New Lenox, Donald Harold (Carolyn) Wortmann and Ronald Wortmann, both of Rockdale; one daughter, Linda Burkland of Cape Coral, FL; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bernice (late Pete) Demick of Joliet. Preceded in death by his father, John J. Wortmann, Sr.; mother, Julia (Perrin) Wortmann; one brother, Leo Wortmann; and one sister, Florence Thontlin. Funeral services for John J. Wortmann will be Friday December 28, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Elmhurst Cemetery, 1212 E. Washington Street, Joliet. Memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
