Obituary of Betty CTC

Betty Jane Wunderlich, CTC Age 73. Passed away Sunday, December 23, 2007 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. Born May 21, 1934 in Gary, IN, she was the daughter of the late John and Louise (nee Sinnett) Babe. She was a graduate of Gadsden (AL) High School. She first worked for Upjohn Pharmaceuticals as Secretary to the President. Betty was an active professional travel agent for 30 years with Wunderlich Travel Agency, Inc. She was a Certified Travel Consultant and also was involved in the management of the agency. Surviving are her husband of 33 years, William C. Wunderlich of Minooka; her children, Mary Lou Edwards of Palm Harbor, FL and Steve Edwards of Alexandria, VA; stepchildren, Beth Hixon of Philadelphia, PA, W. Jeff Wunderlich of Minooka, Mark Wunderlich of Joliet, Dian Delehanty of Boca Raton, FL, and Nancy Wunderlich of Boulder, CO; four grandchildren, Monica, and Melissa Wunderlich, Cole Delehanty and Tory Hayes; one great-grandson, Zachary; and one aunt, Shirley Carragher of Phoenix, AZ. Her husband, Bill, attests as do many who know her, that she always had a delightful attitude and sense of humor who put the needs of others always before herself. She was a caring person, always accommodating, and never complaining. Private services for Betty Wunderlich will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home. Interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery.
