Obituary of Zora Zelko

Zora M. Zelko Age 93. Passed away Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Zora was born in 1914 in Bush, IL and was a 1937 graduate of St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Elgin. Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Joseph Zelko DDS; her parents, Michael and Antonia (nee Ruzich) Lenich; one brother, Michael (Elizabeth) Lenich; and one sister, Kathryn M. (Werner) Larson. Survived by two brothers, Steve (late Eloise) Lenich of Joliet and William (Marietta) Lenich of Kirkwood, MO; and several nieces and nephews. Zora was an accomplished artist and painter and an active member of the Joliet Artists League. She also operated a lapidary business, and she and her husband, Joseph, traveled to numerous rocks and gem shows following his retirement. Zora was very family oriented, doing anything for anyone needing help. She also kept active maintaining her beautiful yard. Funeral Services for Zora M. Zelko will be Friday, January 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation FRIDAY MORNING 10:00 a.m. until time of services at: FRED C.
