Obituary of Dorothy Ziehm

Dorothy G. Puchalski Ziehm "Grandma" (nee Jachim) Age 87, of Shorewood, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Dorothy lived life to its fullest, and was a fiesty, determined and independent person. She loved her many friends, her family, and her beloved cat, Baby. Survived by two daughters, Marlene Trenter of Shorewood, and Susan (Robert Piontkowski) Puchalski of Palm Desert, CA; six grandchildren, Michael Trenter, Mark Lord, Michelle (Jeff) Trenter-Olson, Greg (Dawn) Trenter, Shannon Piontkowski and Kristie Piontkowski; ten great-grandchildren; and one brother, Roman (Theresa) Jachim of Wheaton. Preceded in death by her first husband, Edmund Puchalski; her second husband, Robert Ziehm; her parents, Joseph and Helen (nee Szablewski) Jachim; and one sister. Family and friends are invited to gather for the visitation from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the funeral home chapel, with services at 4:30 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009 at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
