Vincent S. Zielinski
Age 89. Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Joliet to the late Vincent and Teofila Zielinski, he was a lifelong resident. A WWII U.S. Army veteran, he served in the Southwest Pacific. Retired from Union Oil. Member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Polish Mariners Society.
Preceded in death by his wife, Violet F. (nee Papesh) Zielinski; parents; siblings, Martha (Michael) Venardi, Wanda (Joseph) Papesh, Eleanor (John) Ksiazak and Bernard Leo Zielinski.
Survived by one son, Robert V. Zielinski of California; granddaughter, Kira Kristina Zielinski of Mobile, AL; his brother, Fr. Casimir Zielinski, O.Carm of Nokomis, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Vincent S. Zielinski will be Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 901 Elizabeth Street, Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials to Holy Cross Catholic Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Saturday morning at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Arrangements by:
