Samuel F. Zigrossi
Age 82. At rest, September 21, 2009 at his late Joliet residence. Born in Joliet to the late Danato and Marie (Alberico) Zigrossi, and a lifelong resident. A World War II veteran. Formerly employed as an ironworker for Local #444, retiring in 1987. Member of Cantigny Post VFW #367 and Southside Civic Club. An avid fisherman.
Surviving is his loving wife, Renee (nee James) Zigrossi of Joliet; his stepson, Mark (Melonie) James of England; step-grandson, Matthew James; and siblings Angelo Zigrossi of Joliet, Tony (Char) Zigrossi of Crest Hill, and Dena (James) Babicki of Joliet. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded by parents; and one brother, Felix, in infancy.
Funeral services for Samuel F. Zigrossi will be Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Fr. John Doyle will officiate. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials in his name to Seasons Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation WEDNESDAY MORNING, 9:00 a.m. until time of services at:
