Zink, Robert A.
Age 65. Passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet, he was a lifetime resident. United States Navy veteran, and a member of the American Legion Harwood Post #5. A retired plumber from Holiday Plumbing and member of the Plumbers Union Local #130.
Survived by his loving wife, Faith Zink; daughter, Kimberly Zink-Hedger; son, Todd (Gio) Zink. Also survived by a daughter and two sons in love and friendship, Heather (Rob) Macklin, Bill (Stephanie) Slavik, and Jonathan (Kelly) Slavik; proud grandfather of 18; dear brother of Donna (Don) Lebuis, Sally Schmitt, Sandy (Mike) Olinger, Mark (Lori) Randolph, Bonnie (Dannie) Peters, Alan (Linda) Randolph, and Kay (Jim) Stanek; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Donna (Powers); parents, Andrew and Dorothy (Barnes) Zink.
Bob enjoyed bowling at Town & Country Lanes, being a member of the Coyote Moon Dancers, and the game of baseball. The Bob Zink baseball diamond at Lou Von Fields in Shorewood was named in his recognition several years ago.
Funeral Services for Robert A. Zink will be Monday, August 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the American Heart Association or Bible Related Ministries would be appreciated. Visitation Sunday 3-8 p.m. and Monday morning 9:00 a.m. until time of services at:
