Obituary of Beverly Zobel

Beverly Jean Zobel Age 65, of Joliet, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Joliet Area Community Hospice with her family by her side. Born December 9, 1945 in Joliet, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Lucille (nee Doris) Zobel. She was the long time owner and operator of Zobel's Tavern, retiring in 2008. Beverly adored her grandchildren and enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre, and playing pool. Survived by her son, Anthony (Anna) Lucenti of Crest Hill; Tammy (Randy) Platt of Channahon; five grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Lucenti and Adam, Aaron and Anika Platt; one brother, David (Linda Browne) Zobel of Joliet; one sister, Diana Barrowman of Crest Hill; and several nieces and nephews. Services for Beverly Jean Zobel will be Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home to Woodlawn Memorial Park for services at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow.
