Obituary of William Stone

Stone, William H. Age 90, of Channahon, IL passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012. He was born on June 8, 1922 to Francis J. and Caroline Stone in Ironwood, Michigan. He attended grade and high schools in Ironwood, graduating in 1941. Served in the Army during World War II and was discharged in December 1945. He belonged to the Ironwood Lodge #389 AF&AM of Michigan and retired from Alumax Mill Products in 1988. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce R. (nee Hocking); his son, Bryan (Lois) Stone of Coal City; and his grandson, Cameron W. Stone. He was also "Grandpa" to Michelle (James) Greene and Melissa (James) Agent and Kaci Agent; and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Danielle Stone; one brother, Carlos (Mona) Stone; and one sister, Mildred (Russ) Harvey. Funeral Services for William H. Stone will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice.
