Obituary of Catarina Bosquez

Catarina Vega Bosquez Age 60, of Joliet, IL. Passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center after battling renal failure. Born November 25, 1952 in San Antonio, TX to the late Trinidad and Augustina Vega, she was one of nine children. She grew up in Texas where she met her husband, the late Efrain Bosquez. They were married in San Antonio and had three children, Annette, Adam and Jessica. Catarina worked for many years as an Electronics Technician for Intermedics, Advanced Micro Devices in Texas. While there, she also worked as a home nurse and cared for many patients. She is survived by her children, Annette (Samson) Mendoza, Adam (Mari) Bosquez and Jessica (Clarence Blocker) Bosquez; her brothers and sisters, Trinidad Vega, Ofelia Cruz, Olivia Bear, Arturo Vega, Teresa Agueros, Alfredo Vega and Robert Vega; her eight grandchildren, EJ Mendoza, Justin Mendoza, Anthony Mendoza, Lupe Aluiso, Casera Aluiso, Elijiah Blocker, Isabella Bosquez and Adam Bosquez, Jr.; and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded by her husband, Efrain Bosquez; her parents; her brother, David Vega. A Memorial Service for Catarina V. Bosquez will be held at the Elgin Community Church, 991 Deborah Avenue, Elgin, on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. As is was her wish, Catarina will be cremated and her cremated remains will be laid to rest next to her husband at the San Fernando Cemetery, 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, (210) 432-2303, on March 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send plants or donations to the Elgin Community Church, 847-697-7744.
