Obituary of Lois Locknar

Lois F. Locknar (nee Mosher) Age 74. Peacefully Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Morris Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center following a couragous battle with cancer with her family by her side. Born in Chicago. A long time Joliet area resident before retiring to Morris ten years ago. A graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing, graduating as class president in 1958. A lifelong registered nurse retiring in 2000. Preceded by her parents, Fred and Irene Mosher; one sister, Sr. Joan Mosher O.S.F. Survived by her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Raymond Locknar of Morris; two sons, Steve (Ellen) of Bahama, NC and Greg (Chris) Locknar of Summerville, SC; two daughters, Lori (Don) Mangers of Oswego, IL and Janet (Tim) Konicek of Rockford, IL; 10 grandchildren, Leslie (Derek) Elmer, Ashley Locknar, Breann and Megan Locknar, Dave and Jeffrey (Kate) Zak, Danny Mangers, Rebecca, Erin and Christina Konicek; one great-grandchild, Drayton Elmer; three sisters, Muriel (Ray) Graham of Mundelein, Carol (Ron) Mazurek of Dunwoody, GA and Marilyn (Charlie) Herbig of Coral Springs, FL; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services for Lois F. Locknar will be Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Howe officiating for a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. As it was Lois' wish cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral mass.
