Obituary of Daniel Robinson

Robinson, Daniel Martin Age 48, a lifelong resident of the Joliet and Plainfield area, passed away suddenly, Friday, December 21, 2012. A graduate of Plainfield High School, he was a veteran of the United States Navy from 1984-88, including serving aboard the Aircraft Carrier "Kitty Hawk" in the Persian Gulf. Dan was employed as a logistics clerk for Excel Corporation of University Park. He was a member of Judson Baptist Church and active in the Miracle League ministry, food pantry and the choir. He also enjoyed NASCAR and Stock Car racing. Survived by his father, Lawrence C. Robinson of Joliet; one sister, Debbie (Richard) Sanborn of Joliet; two step-sisters, Laura (Russell) Mikuska of Joliet, and Lisa Colclasure of Durango, CO; one niece, Jennifer Sencenko; one great- nephew, Anthony Sencenko; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Also survived by special friend, Gini Kokosz of Joliet; and his puppy, Dudley. Preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Joan (nee Koerner) Robinson (1974); his step-mother, Gloria (nee Troppe) Robinson (2006); and one niece, Sarah Sanborn (1994). Funeral services for Daniel M. Robinson will be held Monday, December 31, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
