Obituary of Sharon Bouey

Bouey, Sharon R. (nee Gibbs) April 17, 1954 - December 31, 2012 At rest at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born and raised in Detroit, MI, residing in Plainfield, IL for the past 12 years. Graduate of Mackenzie High School Class of 1972, and attended college. Formerly employed by the National Bank of Detroit (Chase) as an accounting supervisor. Sharon devoted her life to raising her three children and then pursued a career in sales including Lia Sophia, Mary Kay Cosmetics and as a secretary for Rev. Larry Jordan, Pastor of Victory Fellowship Church. Survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Gerald Bouey; her three children, Andre, Brittney and Aaron Bouey; her stepson, Gerald Bouey II; two grandsons, Gerald David Bouey III and Jacob Shamar Bolden; her mother, Dorothy Jean Gibbs; one sister, Carmen (Wesley) Thurmand; four brothers, Clyde (Jacqueline), Glenis (Shavon), Mark and Brian (Melissa) Gibbs; her faithful companion, Pepper; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father, Osceola Gibbs. Funeral Services for Sharon R. Bouey will be Monday, January 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wesley Thurmand officiating.
