Age 102. At rest Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home. Born in Joliet on February 12, 1910 to the late John and Dorothy (stokan) Chepuran. She was a lifelong Joliet resident and a world traveler. A retired seamstress with Hart, Shaffner and Marx. Former member of the Cheny Mother's Club, CCW of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus and their medical mission. A volunteer at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center knitting bonnets for the children's nursery.
Survived by her daughter, Carol (Larry) Janovyak of Joliet; her grandchildren, Patricia (Robert) Smith, Dennis (Renee) Janovyak, Mary Beth Reardon, Christine (Richard) Ackerson and Karen (Jeffrey) Hucek all of Joliet; great-children, Amber Smith, Michael Janovyak, Ryan Reardon, Brittany Janovyak, Douglas Ackerson, Danielle Ackerson, Dana Ackerson, Justin Hucek, Kristin Hucek, Brianne Hucek and Nicholas Reardon all of Joliet, Lauren Kornec of Craig, MT and Jenny Nagra of Sheridan, WY; one great-great-grandchild, Georgia Kaye Reardon; one sister, Rose (late Peter) Kon of Joliet; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded by her husband, Clarence Nagra; her son, Dr. Clarence "Buddy" (Helen) Nagra; one grandson, David Nagra; one great-granddaughter in infancy, Natasha Reardon; one brother, John Chepuran; five sisters, Mary (Joseph) Shepich, Ann (William) Kobe, Katie (Fred) Tijan, Rosie Chepuran in infancy, and Stephanie (Val) Spreitzer; three nephews, Walter and Fred Shepich and Kenneth Kon.
Funeral services for Luby C. Nagra will be Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Our Lady Of Angels Retirement Home 1201 Wyoming Avenue, Joliet, IL were a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home would be appreciated. Visitation Saturday at Our Lady of Angels from 9:00 a.m. until time of mass.
