Obituary of Merry Stime

Stime, Merry J. (nee Sperelakis) Age 87. Peacefully Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Rockdale, she was a long time Atlanta resident, returning to Joliet five years ago. A graduate with a Masters Degree at Marquette University in Milwaukee, she attended the University of Illinois and was a graduate of Joliet High School and grade school system, where she was an honor student. Merry was a world traveler and a devoted animal lover. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Stime (May 5, 2006); her parents; one brother, Angelo Sperelakis; and her sister, Tessie Calamaras Gomez. Survived by two brothers, Peter (Roula) Sperelakis of Joliet and Dr. Nicholas (Doleres) Sperelakis of Cincinnati; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services for Merry J. Stime will be Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black and Essington Rds., Joliet. Fr. Stephen Bithos officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park II Cemetery. Visitation SATURDAY MORNING 11:00 a.m. until time of services.
