Obituary of Francis Reinke
Francis H. Reinke
Age 85, of Channahon the past 9 years, and formerly of Chicago, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at Silver Cross Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born April 22, 1927 in Chicago, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (nee Goss) Reinke. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany in the Signal Corps. He was an active member and Past President of the BRAC and retired from the Santa Fe Railroad after 46 years of service.
Francis was a model railroad enthusiast and was proud of his years serving as an usher at St. Bede the Venerable Parish in Chicago. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and an awesome dad and grandpa.
Beloved father of Lawrence (Linda), Jane (Mark) Lipp, Timothy (Denise), Kenneth (Merle), Judith (William) Lawler and Thomas (Kellie) Reinke. Also survived by seven grandchildren, Adam, LeRoy, Cassandra, Laura, Alexandra, Ian and Emma; nine step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; his twin sister, Sr. Mary Louise Reinke, SSSF; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, Rose L. Reinke (2003); one daughter, Mary Lou; one sister, Dorothy Smola; and two brothers, Joseph and Ray Reinke
Funeral Services for Francis Reinke will be Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet 60431 to St. Ann Catholic Church, Channahon, for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the School Sisters of St. Francis, 1501 S.
