Paul Gregory Freudinger
Age 72. Passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Salem Village Nursing Home. Born May 9, 1940 in Evergreen Park, he was raised in Chicago and lived in Calumet City, and Joliet for the past 39 years. Graduate of St. Joseph's Seminary High School in Westmont, IL. He was owner/operator of Paul's Organ Service, and worked previously at World of Music and Wurlitzer. He was an avid White Sox fan, fisherman, and could fix just about anything.
Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Angela (nee Rash) Freudinger, brothers Charles and Francis Freudinger, sisters Marge Gibson and Coletta Marshall.
Survived by siblings John (Tina) Freudinger, Raymond (Marion) Freudinger, Angela (William) Burke, Virginia (Robert) Bretall, Marie Freudinger and Ronald Freudinger.
He was married to Vicky (nee Kinnunen) Odlund in 1961, who survives along with their children Paul A. (Sue) Freudinger, Maria (Mark) Deelsnyder and Laura (Steve) Carlson. He was married to Vicki (nee Hannah) Gelfo in 1984, who survives along with their children Ben Freudinger, Marcus Tolliver and Nathan Tolliver. Surviving grandchildren: Ann, Allison, Leann, Kaitlyn, Bradley, Nicholas, Mariah, Jocelyn, Elizabeth, Makayla, Kaitlyn and Kylie.
Cremation Rites have been accorded, and the family will receive friends and relatives for a Memorial Service on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet, IL 60431. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 12th, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 404 N. Hickory St., Joliet, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family is recommending that memorial contributions be made to Vitas Hospice, which provided excellent care and support during the past three months.
