Obituary of Thomas Briddick

Briddick, Thomas G. "Tom" Age 71, a lifetime Joliet resident, passed away suddenly, Friday, March 8, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Beloved husband of 46 years to Charlene (Lundstrom); loving father of Lisa Briddick-Martinez (Jose) of Whittier, CA; proud and devoted Papa of Hannah and Jacob; fond brother-in-law of Roberta Brewer, Cynthia (Bruce) Stacy, Mary Lundstrom, Patricia (Ralph) Fenili and Janice (Mike) Fagan. Also survived by his aunt and uncle, Elva and Glen Converse, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. and Elizabeth Briddick; brother, Frank Briddick; and nephew, Frank Briddick, Jr. Tom served aboard the U.S.S. Barney while serving his country for four years in the U.S. Navy. He retired in 2008 from Pactiv of Frankfort after 25 years of service. He enjoyed nature documentaries and traveling, but his true passion was being with his grandchildren. Funeral Services for Tom Briddick will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2013, 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Will County Humane Society would be appreciated. Visitation Monday 3-8 p.m.
