(nee Parkhurst)
Age 93. Passed away peacefully Monday, March 11, 2013 at The Inn at Willow Falls in Crest Hill. Born July 4, 1919 in Effingham, IL to the late Harley and Opal (nee Shelton) Parkhurst, she moved to Chicago with her family when she was 15 years old. A former model, who worked most of her life, she was a professional show girl for Ted Lewis and his band. She lived in Des Plaines, and retired from the Western Railroad Association. A former Naperville and Plainfield resident, most recently residing in Crest Hill. She was passionate about singing and dancing and could be found at Willowbrook Ballroom every weekend.
Preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Harley Parkhurst.
Beloved mother of Judy (late James) McGarvey of Schaumburg, Denise (Mark) Dreher of Plainfield, Tom (Selene) Coyne of Franklin, WI and Lorie (Curt) Crouse of Barrington Hills; dear grandmother of 13; great-grandmother of 10 and great-great-grandmother of one; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Harlene O. Coyne will be Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet. Cremation Rites will be accorded following services. Memorials in her name to Will County Humane Society at 24109 W.
