Obituary of Joseph Barnes

Joseph R. Barnes Age 90. At rest Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home. Born in Chicago and a lifelong Chicago area resident. A WWII U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater. A graduate of Northwestern University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Retired from the Ace Hardware Corporation as Director of Personnel after many years of service. Joseph enjoyed traveling and playing a good game of golf. Preceded in death by his loving wife Margaret A. (nee Filipp) Barnes; his parents, Joseph F. and Charlotte (nee Nowicki) Baranowski. Survived by his three daughters, Carol (Steve) Nimmo of Minnesota, Terri (Tom) Maier of New Jersey and Maria (Nacho) Salazar of Joliet; two sons, Philip (Annemarie) Barnes of Batavia, and Peter Barnes of Chicago; eight grandchildren, Emilie, Amy, Philip, Nathan, Nicholas, Alyssa, Elizabeth and John. Funeral Services for Joseph R. Barnes will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Friends of Sunny Hill Nursing Home would be appreciated. No visitation. Arrangements entrusted to the Fred C.
