Bob,
It was great times bowling with you on Thursday nights. I helped form that team many years ago and it has continued on mostly by members of the Johnston family which you were one of. You always had a smile on your face and a very competive spirit. I want to extend my sympathy out to your family. You will be missed.

Goodbye and God Speed to a very special guy. Always had a smile for me, even if I didn't get the transcript quite right. Loved working with him. He brightened that drab records section each time he came thru. Last saw him at cancer fund raiser - I got one of the biggest hugs from this gentle, sweet man. Hadn't seen him in a LONG time, but my affection for him and his for me hadn't been lost with time. Edie, I couldn't come to the service (I'm recovering from major abdominal surgery), but I'll be thinking of all of you and asking God to console you in this very sad and difficult time. Love, Carol Smyth

I had the privilege of knowing Bob, Pauline and Eldon since I was a small child, as my dad and Eldon worked together at Caterpillar. Also when my dad was injured in WW2, Pauline coincidentally was the nurse that took care of him. I always told Pauline and Bob that Pauline was my angel. Pauline, Bob and Eldon are the nicest, most down to earth, caring and giving and most genuinely good-hearted people I have ever met. Some of my best memories of Bob when we were very young were hours spent listening to his favorite records:Disney Mouseketeer records, Bill Cosby record , and Snoopy and the Red Baron was especially a favorite. We had so much fun playing pool at their house. Bob was one of the first kids to get a Beatles wig, and we had alot of good times singing along to Beatle records with imaginery guiters and drums.Another favorite memory was when Bob walked on his stilts. I always asked him to walk on the stilts whenever our families got together, and he was always more than happy to entertain us walking down the street on his stilts. My heart goes out to Bob's family and friends. It is a true blessing to have had Eldon, Pauline and Bob in my life, I love them very much, and they will always remain in my heart forever.
