Obituary of Richard Pervan

Pervan, Richard J. Age 31. At rest Monday, March 18, 2013 at Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Born and raised in Joliet, he was a lifelong resident. Graduate of Providence Catholic High School Class of 2000, and received his Bachelors Degree from Lewis University. Employed by Shoreline Group Real Estate Development and Management in Chicago for the past four years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed mixed martial arts. Surviving are his parents, Nick and Marija (nee Sovulj) Pervan of Homer Glen; three sisters, Romana (Benjamin) Douglas of San Diego, CA, Nicole Pervan of Homer Glen and Anita (Erik) Vardijan of Morton Grove; one brother, Robert (Sheila Tichy) Pervan of Chicago; his maternal grandmother, Viće Sovulj; cousin, Joseph Eric; his girlfriend, Elizabeth Bobrowski of Schaumburg; three nieces, Kristina, Ayva and Teresa; one nephew, Vincent; several aunts and uncles including Veronica (Victor) Eric and Anka (John) Lucic; and numerous cousins. Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Josip Sovulj; paternal grandparents, Pavle Pervan and Milica Pervan; three uncles, Tomislav Pervan, Nedeljko Sovulj and Zvonko Pervan. Funeral Services for Richard J. Pervan will be Friday, March 22, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery.
