Passed away peacefully at the age of 90, on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Presence Villa Franciscan Nursing Home. Born September 23, 1922 to George and Anna (nee Adams) Princko, she lived in Joliet her entire life. She was the proud owner and operator of Shalimar Beauty Shop in Joliet. She later worked for the E.J.&E Railroad for 30 years. She loved jewelry, no matter what kind and was never seen without it.
She is survived by her two sisters, Lucille (late Fred) Shepich and Loretta (late Anton) Brncich. She loved her family and was a dedicated aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Also survived by her special friend, Adrienne Burla.
Preceded in death by her parents; brother, George (Sox) 1983; two sisters, Anna (William) Jurevich 1991, and Dolores (Richard Grassle) (Phil) Bebar 2007.
Special thanks to Jane Davy and Frances Brencich for the many visits and making sure she had homemade bakery which she always looked forward to, and to Presence Villa Franciscan who cared for her for many, many years, as did Tiffany from the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. She could not ask for a better person than her Godchild and nephew, William "BJ" Jurevich, Jr., who was there to make sure she had everything she could possibly need.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with prayers to follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet.
