Obituary of Lawrence Waranoski
Waranoski, Lawrence A.
Age 70, of Channahon the past nine years and formerly of Plainfield and Chicago, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, surrounded by his devoted family.
Larry was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #339 and worked as a stationary engineer at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Gayle L. (nee Geller) Waranoski of Channahon; children, Lori (Craig) Palmer, Larry R. (Beth) Waranoski, Kerry (Shaun) Kristensen, and Kris Waranoski; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Waranoski, Amanda (Matt) Bayles, Shaun Kristensen and Mia Kristensen; five great-grandchildren; his siblings, Joseph (Lourdes) Waranoski, Bonnie Shaw, Tony (Karen) Waranoski and Billy (Debbie) Waranoski; sister-in-law, Gail Waranoski; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Yolanda (nee Dalicandro) Waranoski; and one brother, Michael.
Funeral Services for Lawrence A. Waranoski will be Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
