Obituary of Charles Barry

Charles P. Barry "Bud" Age 88. Passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Troy Township, IL to the late Thomas and Mary (Loetscher) Barry, he lived in Shorewood most of his life. A U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Retired as a boilermaker. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #1080 and the Joliet Elks Lodge #300. Surviving are his daughter, Pamela Barry of Joliet; four grandsons, Jon McCoy, Adam McCoy, Kevin Reece and Zackary Reece; three great-grandchildren, Julien, Nevaeh and Makenzie; one sister, Elizabeth (the late Gerald) Hartman of Joliet; his sister-in-law, Betty (the late David) Barry of Shorewood; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his siblings, Thomas (Marjorie "Marge") Barry, Mary (Leon) Churchill, John "Jack" (Helen) Barry, Barbara (Everett) Seil, Edward Barry and David Barry. Funeral Services for Charles P. Barry will be Monday, April 8, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet to Holy Family Catholic Church, Shorewood for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
